Really liked it.

I also really liked Europa Report, although the ending turned me off a little.

(I think it was you) heartily recommended About Time.

That's possible, but I also got the recommendation on here. And I rewatched it with Mrs. Midnight just about the time Ex Machina was coming out. I missed it in the cinema but caught it shortly after it came out on BR. The ginger was on a roll picking high quality, yet non-traditional science fiction scripts, wouldn't you agree?

Huge fan of the movie, and it benefited from the writer's strike, as a lot of productions were shut down or on hold, so they were able to get top notch special effects people for dirt cheap just because they wanted to stay busy.

Also, I love how the computer is not evil. That is such a beaten in the ground trope, it was a nice twist to have the computer care for and protect the main character instead of trying to destroy him.

The ginger appears to be in EVERY movie now. (Ditto Oscar Isaac).

They're making hay while the sun shines. Oscar Isaac is trying to be the new Gary Oldham, as he looks different in every single thing (at least the things I see him in.)
