what the frick

How is that hard to understand?

Holden is a straight person. He comes off.... gay.

Im watching the show and think, this actor right here is gay. I can tell. Hes not a good enough actor to pretend to be someone else. I look it up. Boom, im right.

Its the same thing as someone being bad at accents. If i can tell you arent british, and you are playing a british person, thats....not a good testament to your abilities as an actor, no?

Yall are acting like this is some anti-gay statement. How is it that? Plenty of gay actors play convincing straight people and visa versa. Its called being a good actor.

I mean, you’ve got like a 50/50 chance of being right on his sexual preferences regardless of whose acting and how good of an actor they are so it’s a very flawed scale you have of judging actors

What? no haha.

You are being fricking obtuse. how the frick is it 50/50? also Its not about sexual preference. Its about his character seeming effeminate, not because thats the character, but because the actor is. Youll never hear me say this about Luke Evans or that Tom Holland is a bad actor because you can tell hes British, because you cant.

So I hate that Fincher is done, but why can’t they salvage the series with a different director?

It’s not like any of the actors are such big names that they can’t continue their roles. Even if they had better opportunities, I could see the series being able to move on with new detectives.

I think it's also a money thing. It was already somewhat expensive for what it brought to Netflix according to Fincher. Now the actors don't have contracts so to bring them back would require a new deal and it sounds like they would have to pay them more now. Combine that with the demands on Fincher and some other points he made and it's too much to overcome.

I really like it and hate that it's gone. I also doubt we'll someone else pick up the topic and run with it via a continuation or a new show so soon. I've read many of the books by the agents the show is based on and there's a lot of good stuff they could tap into.

The biggest thing I want to see is the actual relationship between the two lead guys. In real life I get the impression they don't really like each other (one is dead now). I know they worked closely together, but reading their books you see them rarely even mention the other. The older guy has made comments about jealousy of his peers in his post FBI work (he has consulted for the defense which is not popular). And the younger guy has a reputation for being a media whore.

That’s a bummer

I didn’t like season 2 as much as season 1. Mostly because I enjoyed Kemper and the other interviews a lot but also I really Don’t need their personal lives to be that big a part.

So the next best thing is audio version of "Killer across the Table"

IT'S AWESOME!!
I listened to the whole thing while driving.

Holden Ford is the narrator and the book expands on A LOT of stuff in the show.

Like Richard Speck killing the bird in the fan. The 8 ripe counts line etc...
