She’s on the current Stargirl series on HBO Max and The CW. But hey, you’re the expert.

Oh that's the same Dr Midnight? K then. I thought that was new. In that case I take it back, I have heard about that race swap character, but she's still pretty inconsequential. She's really lame in Stargirl and it would have mad more sense if her character died for being way out of her league.

I'm pretty knowledgeable about DC Comics. I didn't call myself an expert though, but you can if you'd like. I am definitely less knowledgeable about characters that no one cares about and have no interest in changing that.

ETA: Seriously, no one cares if they come out with a black Dr Midnight or a black Guardian because no one cares about those characters. Those are characters you try something new with to see if it will help sell their books or movies or whatever else because they don't sell. They do not belong in a conversation about Superman. Superman is not a character that has trouble selling books and movies. If your Superman stuff doesn't sell, you don't change the character. You realize you did it wrong and fire everyone who couldn't put together a profitable Superman product.

Why take someone else’s instead of making your own?

Female Indiana Jones = Tomb raider

Black Superman= Luke cage?

It’s not that difficult to come up with some garbage “black” back story. Play off something “Afrocentric “ like army testing on black soldiers that caused some side affect of hulking out and he’s running from Military/government trying to kill him to hide their experiments or something.

Good guy/bad guy…political…super powers….cgi

What else do you need to put out another 90 min time waste?

Make him like Wolverine who doesn’t age, And he spends his time as a homeless guy drinking and doing drugs to stay off the government radar. But finally after 50 years of hibernation he decides to do something about it Because he finally feels empowered by BLM

Because that's not the intent. They want to destroy what you love. They don't even care if it's entertaining. When the movie doesn't do well with white people, it's because you're racist, not because they appropriated something from white culture. It's a complete double standard and dishonest people will deflect from it and pretend it's normal and something that has always happened.

It is an established "black" superman, he isn't race swapping.

First appearance: March 2014.

Calvin Ellis's first appearance was in 2009. There was another black superman in a 1999 Legends: Crisis on Infinite Earths story, along with an Asian Flash and some other characters. This superman wasn't Klark or Kal-el.
There was also Sunshine Superman, created in 1990, who was black.

The woke have obviously been hiding among us for decades. They knew we'd eventually start caring about dumb shite because our YouTube overlords told us to. Unfortunately, they didn't predict our mental inability to simply Google things to not sound dumb.

If you were to tell me that a black man also escaped from krypton or was not present for whatever reason when the planet was destroyed and he figured out a way to find Clark on earth. Then that would make for one hell of a story line for future DC comics! But nah! Let just redo same story and insert a black guy to replace Clark. Call him Cashish instead and have him land somewhere in the projects of Detroit where the white man is the main enemy.

He might want to keep working on critiquing his own culture before he turns his lens to America as a whole.
