One of my favorite parts of season 2 is his Asian friend Brian's Dad. His revelation and dilemma with his two girlfriends were hilarious. Cooking vs Coco

The side track episodes reminded me a lot of the HBO series High Maintence

They basically have a very loose point of narration and just kind of float throughout stories with a very small tie to the main character

That show on HBO was decent, but it was a better in the little shorts that they have on HBOgo and everything is scaled down and in smaller doses

I just watched the season in the past week. Denise's family is so spot on.

I'm seeing a lot of hate for I Love New York on here. I told my buddy earlier today that that was one of my favorite episodes. Very Linklater-ish. Do y'all not like it in the context of the show, or do you just hate good art?

It was a cool concept, and executed well, I think it just gets a lot of hate because it was totally random and no connection to the storyline. None of the characters were connected to the story or even made minor appearances in other episodes. I enjoyed it, but didn't see how it fit in with the season.

The season could have used more of Brian and his dad. He was hilarious.

And he looks just like grumpy cat.

It completely stopped the momentum of the show for me. It was like shoving a 20 minute commercial into a movie right when the plot starts to heat up. I respect what aziz was trying to do, but I didn't find it to be very entertaining or fun to watch.

He named his new dog Coco

Do you all feel sorry for Pinot?

Not especially. He was never portrayed as giving much of a shite about Francesca... only his business.

That is a fair response.
