Not quite. Cavill is a big-time geek and, as such, is also a purist when it comes to certain properties.
He's the EP on Warhammer and will destroy that project rather than let someone like Hedlund or shite-Hissrich get her hands on it.
He's the type of person who would kill any Metal Gear project that didn't involve Kojima.

Not sure what one has to do with the other. Or the point I was making. Cavill had signed on as The Witcher for several seasons. He would stay on longer contingent on the project sticking at least close to the source material.
It didn't.
So he left.
It's just that simple.

Characters like Blade should not be in mainstream Marvel. Blade and other horror themed characters, including Dr. Strange, should be in R-rated movies, like the original Blade trilogy. They can always crossover into the mainstream to fight aliens, but horror needs blood and dead people.
