I found it to be bad, but the good kind of bad. Utterly ridiculous, poorly acted by several cast members, but entertaining. I had fun, but was consistently rolling my eyes. It’s a clear drop in quality from Yellowstone by every metric.
I agree with you. I watched it, and would probably watch a 2nd season just as time filler, but I'm also not going to be upset if it isn't renewed. They did leave it with the cliffhanger of the revealed big bad taking Tate to Texas basically as a hostage, which makes me wonder if they plan to have a crossover with the Dutton Ranch show.

Also, am I the only one that felt like Casey had zero chemistry with the blonde girl? It seemed like he had much better chemistry with the east coast girl.
Yeah he definitely had more chemistry with the black chick, but I'm starting to wonder if that could be purposeful since it looks like the blonde's dad was the big bad all along.

Also, the blonde woman on the team was a terrible actress, like noticeably bad, and the character’s actions didn’t make her sympathetic at all.
All of he actors/actresses are pretty bad, but the unit leader was almost unbearable to listen to for me. Man was his dialog rough, and I had no sympathy at all for his failed relationship with his daughter or his cancer.

No way it gets another season.

It may be just another NCIS in the woods, but it was huge for CBS. I don’t think another season is even a question for CBS. The one CBS show that I genuinely like is NCIS Origins, and I never see anyone mentioning it.
