Married At First Sight: Season 9 Thread

Hard to believe that we're already into a new season!
Is this the season that the show officially jumps the shark? Seems so.
All of the couples feature one half that looks to be on the bi-polar/borderline personality spectrum. Red flags galore. Usually the odds are an optimistic 50% shot at couples working out. This season, I give the couples a 0% chance. A virgin, an ice princess, a Tori Amos reject, and the second coming of Kevin Federline? Ouch.
Also, a new "sexpert." The show can't seem to keep that slot filled.

I think the basketball couple (matt and amber) will be interesting. She is 5ft 2 and he is 6 ft9. She seems smitten with him.
Elizabeth ( the redhead) looks like a daddy's girl and a drama queen. She has that air about her where she thinks she is so unique and quirky and that everyone loves her but i suspect that is a huge act and her inner crazy bitch will emerge.
Kate is a toxic bitch from hell. those men who date her are either highly paid or looking for publicity. She has the unerring ability to zap joy and fun out of every situation.

Last season was the first time I'd ever watched MAFS. I was intrigued by the concept and really liked it to start but it just seemed to drag on SO long and it was a chore to get through. I may give this one a one episode chance to see if it grabs me.

I think they are making too much of the Virgin thing. It is not uncommon for couples to take a while to do it. Jamie and Doug (season 1) The most stable and successful of the couples waited until after decision day to do it. (They did imply that they had other types of intercouse).

Well the remaining 2 couples will marry tonight. I'm just gonna say i already see a trainwreck ahead for jamie.
I feel bad for Jamie because he is about to marry a self absorbed daddy's girl.who thinks she is just so unique and quirky and hilarious. Oh hun, if you have to TELl people how awesome you are then you its a safe bet that you are none of these things.
She seems so immature and even her "executive" job is with daddys company. Her dad also seems like an over involved perv with his comment to her about hoping her fiance had a big penis. WTH!!

The season look-ahead tonight supported everything I thought would happen: the womanizing basketball player, the red-haired girl going full Glenn Close, the virgin with the destructive sexual hang ups, and the 10-year-dateless girl with crippling insecurities.
This has all the makings of a major trainwreck on all counts. I don't think any couple survives this one.

The redhead (Elizabeth) is typical redhead. Hot AF and great in bed but a CRAZY Bitch. I know I was married to one for 13 years. Jamie needs to bang the shite out of her then abandon ship when the crazy comes out. Really disappointed in Matt if he does cheat on Amber, but I guess all Pro BB players are dogs.

Think we go 2 for 4 at decision day. I have read from previous contestants that the (experts?/producers) really guilt you into staying together. All 4 split up by the reunion

Elizabeth's dad must've shite himself when he watched this week. His precious angel (that he is too attached to) is a total slut who gets naked ON CAMERA and is the most DTF on any of the brides ever.

Agree with the possibilities. I actually like the couples they picked. Not sure it will be boring.

Catching up on this season on DVR. Halfway through and holy shite these people are crazy.
I wish I could work my wife like Matt works Amber. Dude drops his wedding ring in the back of the nightstand and goes out for a few days with his boys without saying a word to her about it and she's just like, "I didn't like that, now let me ride you right here on the couch".
