I like it when they mix historical events into the story.

The show is set in the 60s and that decade changed a lot of things. It would be irresponsible for the writers to leave these events out. IMO these historical events are one of the main vehicles of the show.

He and Roger probably drop it together on the regular.

The comment about him talking Roger off a roof one time seemed to indicate that.

FYI a lot of the cast was on Katie today. Nothing too exciting. But apparently Vincent Kartheiser is engaged to Alexis Bledel after hitting it off when she was on set.

This was very upsetting to me when I first found out. She's a favorite of mine.

You poor thing.

Vincent Kartheiser hasn't aged all that well either IMO. I'm going to need him to come to the realization that the hair is going faster then he can comb it over.

True.
I hate that guy. Call it great acting if you will, but I think he's an evil little douche

Also, Harry and Stan are great this season.

I need a gif of Stan's reactions to the Meery Prankster Insurance guy just for general use on this board.

And also, I realize the show is set in the 60s, but Harry's sideburns and floppy haircut are something that I rock regularly towards the end of my haircut cycle. My glasses rims aren't quite as thick though.

Does the MM wardrobe department try every week to one up themselves on Stan and Ginsberg's clothes? Stan with the frilly suede jacket last week and Ginsberg's tie/sweater combo last night.

And I will now envision you as Harry whenever you post.

Rewatching now.

That insurance guy no question drops acid with Roger. Roger said, "I'm sure that you're moved by the situation...and whatever else is in your system."

Ginsberg and Stan are a great duo. Gins better not screw it up with that chick. She seems nice.

I want more flashbacks to the window between Don getting back from Korea and the start of Season 1.

I thought Pete's reaction was kind of the forced, overreaction that we see people do all the time to somehow make it about them.

I just read the AV Club review of the episode, and they had the exact opposite reaction to Pete's outrage than I did. Of course, I think I'm right, as well as the people in this thread that likened it to the faux outrage you see on facebook after any tragedy.

They also chided Harry for being so selfish and superficial at a time like that.

I think they got it wrong.
