Joan being a miserable count.
Pete solidly smug as always

Holy shite. It just occurred to me that Peggy's date is Brian (blonde, curly haired neighbor in love with Claire Daines) from My So Called Life.

Mind blown.

Did it just occur to you because of the grantland article that mentioned it?

About to check out the Grantland article.

I love how Meredith has become a great secretary. Her sucking was hilarious though.

Honestly it didn't.

It did when I saw a Vulture article pop up on my feed and it said "you'll die when you realize who this is" and it was a blown up pic of his face.

I was always Team Brian. To hell with Jared Leto.

Don't you dare talking about Meredith that way.

Oh I love me some Meredith. I feel like actresses either get hotter or uglier on Mad Men. Meredith is definitely hotter. So i is Allison. But Linda Cardenelli is definitely an uglier.

How could you forget her getting all Catholic "I'm sinning so hard" on him?

She is my least favorite minor character by far. I hated her so much. The first time I watched, I was mad at Don for locking her in that hotel room. But I was glad the second time.

Oh yes, the wife who didn't want to be bad.

I think my two favorite Don flings were Abigail Spencer & Laura Ramsey

Is it wrong to hope that Betty leaves dickbag and goes back to Don?

Weiner explains the premiere to Vulture.com. And the rest of us.

quote:

The women that flit through Don’s life this season — and I’m including the first half of the season in this assessment — are often quite literally femme fatales: Neve Campbell’s character was a widow, Rachel has passed away, and the waitress in the new episode has a nickname, Di, that’s a phonetic match for … well, you know.

That’s true! Don’t you think Don Draper has a type? And if you’ll recall, when he was on drugs, he said to Moira, “Don’t I know you?” Because she looks a lot like Sylvia, who looks a lot like that prostitute he lost his virginity to. What does that sort of woman provide for him? Is it love? Is it comfort? Is it like All That Jazz, where it’s death itself that he’s in love with? I think that he wants to live, and he’s afraid of his mortality, but I’m glad you brought up the scene with Neve Campbell’s character. When you see the season as a whole, without 10 months stretching out between episodes 7 and 8, that encounter will seem very important. And it’s important because that woman has everything that Don Draper loves, and his resistance of her shows his attempt to recommit to his marriage, and his attempt to become a better person in some way.

Rachael tells Don, "I'm supposed to tell you, that you missed your flight".

Was the girl he is sleeping with a flight attendant? Trying to understand the meeting with Rachael in the dream.

Maybe "You missed your flight" = "You missed your one chance at true love and happiness with me. And now I'm dead."

Been watching since 5:00. Forgot how good this show is. Someone needs to start a thread," the women Don Draper slept with. Looks like Meredith didnt age a year. Pete's girlfriend in California was a dime and ambitious.

I've never been this mystified by a Mad Men episode. All I know is it left a sour taste in my mouth. I hoped Don had turned the corner, but it doesn't look too good.

Sometimes I forget that Mad Men is my favorite show of all-time. I flirt with other shows, but at the end of the day, there is no show that entertains me like Mad Men. I love every minute of it.
