I think he was a believer at first, when it was a much less crazy cult and just based on new age stuff. He clearly figured out that life could be really easy and he could make good money skimming off their Etsy/Amazon sales and their “psychic readings”.

At a certain point, he caught on with her bringing in a new “Father God” frick buddy every few months, culminating in the final one who smokes meth, listens to Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power, and gets to be the primary frick buddy of Amy, who is still healthy and attractive.

Amy getting sick and dying really threw him a lifeline though. I think they would have squandered the 323K if she didn’t get sick and die.

And while drinking a ton and having anorexia is clearly bad for your health, he couldn’t have predicted she would die at 45.

I understand why the rest weren’t arrested. The main thing you could charge them with is related to transporting a dead body, but they clearly didn’t internationally kill her out of malice. They are just morons who oppose medicine, focus on drinking colloidal silver, and enable her alcoholism and anorexia that she clearly had long before she met Father God.

I can see why it simply isn’t worth spending the time to prosecute a relatively minor charge against complete morons.
