re: LOST "The Candidate" S6 E14 (Jack/Locke-centric)

If I am correct, Bram tried to convince Miles not to work for Widmore, saying he was on the wrong team. I am pretty sure Bram was on Jacob's team. Therefore, Widmore may not be on Jacob's team. He may not be on MIB's team either. There may be Jacob vs. MIB vs. Widmore.
I remember that scene. It's early season 5. I didn't really mean "not a chance," but I don't think it's happening because Elie is the one behind Charles taking Desmond to the island. And I don't think Elie is evil, even though she has dressed in black a lot (like the ep The Lie, from early season 5 where she is in the lamp post station with Ben).
Some might think that it was her plan to kill Locke so he could act as a substitute for Christian. Not so much for Christian or MIB, but I believe that she believed that it was his dead body that was acting as a substitute for Locke and his dead body on 815. Recreating the conditions of the original flight. Now Locke's body is just left there on the island when smokie shapeshifts himself to look like Locke (fLocke) unlike Christians' body, which was claimed like Claire and Sayid in a sense. Now, MIB helps actualize this from Locke's memory I suspect, which is why he knew when and where to be when he had Richard give past Locke his compass when the people on the island were skipping in time. But I don't think it was MIB's plan. I don't think, but what do I know. This show is a masterpiece and a master puzzle.

stop MIB from leaving. Richard was pretty obsessed with the idea after his talk with Isabella.
I am thinking that Isabella and Michael were MIB illusions. Their interactions both ultimately got C4, not dynomite, put on the plane.

MIB can't switch bodies anymore.

it's not switching bodies. He definitely acted like Alex to Ben last season.
Boom.
Boom.

It is switching bodies. Ilana said he could no longer do it in the Season premier. Either because Jacob's dead or because they buried Locke's really body.

Why not just blow them up on the plane?
They would have inspected the plane before cranking it up to make sure some of Widmore's men weren't on there to ambush them. They would have found the C4. Its not like it was hidden well at all.

I think its an illusion thing, not a body switching thing. Isabella was not on the island, yet he managed to look like her.
Boom.
Boom.

According to Ilana in 2007, following Jacob's death, the Man in Black is now unable to use anything but his Locke and Monster forms.
Per Lostpedia.

I don't take that as fact. If it is, then how the F did Isabella get on the island?

Hurley can see dead people

Ilana knew about the rules. I'm pretty sure she knew what she was talking about.

Isabella wasn't on the island if you remember, Richard never saw her. Only Hurley saw her because he can see the dead.

Isabella was never on the island. It was simply MIB shapeshifting to look like her. And that was a long time before Jacob's death, like 140 years.

He's talking about when Hurley was communicating with her in Ab Aeterno.

Yeah, that was the actual Isabella, rather than the one that appeared to Richard on the ship in Ab Aeterno.

I still think it was MIB's work. Nothing aside from Ilana's comment proves that wrong and Ilana didn't know all the rules. She sure as hell didn't know how to stop MIB.

You're wrong.

Ilana did know the rules, she was the closest person to Jacob. Aside from that, the only person who saw her was Hurley.

Isn't it curious how a mere human with no special powers can not stop a thousand year old smoke monster?

I probably sound very stubborn, but the events leading up to C4 being on the plane seem like more than coincidence. Especially when you consider the fact that Flocke grabbed the wrist watch prior to getting on the plane, he must've known the bomb would be on there.

Seen Christian lately?
How about Yimmi?

Didn't say she could stop him. If she knows the rules, she should know how to keep him on the island. Seems like a rule to me?

MIB was not planning on Jack not wanting to leave the island.
As MIB was on the plane he was actively looking for wiring, he did not know where it was.
If Jack would have wanted to leave the island, MIB could have put them on the plane with or without that bomb and it wouldn't have matter if they died or not, he could've gotten off the island.
