There is one complaint I've had with LotR though: Why doesn't Sauron have a troll guarding the Crack of Doom just in case they decide to destroy the Ring?

I think Gandalf says in the Two Towers that not in Sauron's worst nightmare would he ever think that they were trying to destroy the ring. The ring is so powerful that anyone who comes across it wants to keep it, not destroy it.

Trilogy is great if you don't take it too seriously.

What does that even mean. It was the most critically rated and reviewed movie of our time. Audiences said the same thing. It was filmed all at once and is the greatest trilogy ever made. It won like 13 awards just for the last film and movies like that never get a shot at nominations and especially best picture and it won. You people are cray

Still, Sauron knew that Hobbits are somewhat resistant to its power. That's just a lame excuse to say why they wouldn't be guarding the Crack of Doom. Its not like he's got a shortage of trolls.

Seriously, take this universe.... completely seriously. Sure things like this couldn't exist in the real world, but the people in this film are well developed and are to be taken seriously.

It seems like you copied and pasted this from somewhere else.

This. This is what people do these days. They hear someone hate on something and they copy and paste and jump on board with someone else. I can accept if someone says that it wasn't the greatest movie of all time but if someone says the movies were downright disappointing I think you are cray.

Maybe it was just arrogance on Sauron's part that he didn't think it was possible to even make it that far. And they wouldn't have if his legion hadn't left to fight Viggo and his crew.

Wasn't the last time Frodo put on the ring at the end of the first movie, when he's escaping Boromir? Wasn't that the only way that Sauron had a "lock" on where the ring was?

First one, classic. I maybe watched the second one twice. Not sure I even touched the third.

Great trilogy.

Ha ha. I honestly don't remember much about it. I know I didn't watch it nearly as much as the first one.
