This isn’t like changing an individual like Nick Fury in marvel. You are asking us to absurdly accept a black hobbit, elf or dwarf where it makes no sense. The bigger issue should be why are you so insistent that they are in there instead of the other way around.
Verisimilitude. Look it up if you don’t know the definition. Tolkien had it, and this nonsensical TV show doesn’t.
