I always thought he was terrifying as HIM in The Powerpuff Girls. He knocked that role out of the park alongside Yoda in TCW. RIP

Tom was a good dude. He had a debilitating stroke in 2020 that stopped him from working. His daughter Sammi had fought cancer and was thankfully in remission to be able to help take care of him in the years following the stroke.

Tom is great, and his characters have been iconic, but I wouldn't go so far as saying GOAT voice actor.
Mel Blanc will always take that honor and anyone who believes otherwise isn't to be taken seriously.
If we were to Mount Rushmore classic VO talent, it would be Blanc, Don Messick, Daws Butler & June Foray.
IMO, Frank Welker is likely the greatest living voice actor, and has the resume to back it up.
I'm partial to Rob Paulsen & Bob Bergen, but I'm biased because I'm a lifelong fan of Paulsen and have trained under Bergen. There's cases to be made for Tom Kenny, Nolan North, James Earl Jones, Tara Strong, Grey Delisle & practically every primary cast member for The Simpsons all being in a Top 25, and Tom Kane is absolutely in that modern pantheon.
I'd just never say GOAT.
