hahahahaha. I'm seriously laughing at all the people getting pissed off I'm not joining in on sucking this movie off.

I was seriously excited about watching it too. Got it in the mail and watched it that night. What a let down. It was ok. That's it. It had lots of cheesy moments, was over-dramatic at times. I found myself rolling my eyes often.

Not that academy award nominations are any gauge of how good a movie is, but given the incredible amount of praise in this thread, maybe yall would be surprised to know it got exactly one nomination...for sound.

Am I supposed to love it because it had a "bad arse" fight scene? And you think I'm a fan of Transformers because of this?

The mountain fight scene at the end was awesome!

The music to this scene is just mesmerizing. Absolutely one of my most favorite scenes in any movie ever.

Same. That moment before Chingachgook guts Magua, you just want to spit in vengeance.

Yeah, going up against Unforgiven, A Few Good Men, and Scent of a Woman, as well as niche films Crying Game and Malcom X, was no big deal.

fricking dumbass!

This was a great flick.

Aside: Women contemplating butchering their faces should compare Madeleine Stowe in this vs. "We Were Soldiers". She looked so artificial in the latter, I don't think she could have credibly played her role in the former with those awful clown lips.

Definitely high in my top ten of all time. Even the scenery is fantastic.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I haven't watched it in awhile, but I'm sure the film shows its age. I made the mistake of watching the original Batman. Still a good movie, but it's a little cheesey compared to todays effects.

One of my favorite movies, the end scene is probably the best scene ever.

If you are serious...and not just trolling...riddle me this:
Fight scenes were lame?
Soundtrack not epic?
Which movies are better (be they Native American, period pieces. or ANY)?
