They should have never brought it back.

It would have been internet legend that it was cancelled because of political correctness.

Now it will be cancelled because it sucks.

They don't even mention his name anymore.

According to Tim Allen that's why ABC dropped it.

According to the network that aired the show and the network that owned the show it wasn’t.

And I’m pretty sure Tim Allen’s demand for a substantial increase at the cost of the rest of the cast was a reason as well, But surprisingly he didn’t say any of that.

I haven't seen any of the new ones since they changed stations, but replacing an actor with another actor playing the same character usually doesn't work too well. It's one thing to make a change after one season, but once someone's been on 5 years or so it just doesn't go well. At that point you may as well just have a new character.

that is exactly what happened. they replaced a petite super hot and funny brunette who had the dumb as a rock sexy beautiful girl character nailed perfectly, and they replaced her with a tall blonde who is not very funny and not as hot and changed her character to a pretty much normal average not dumb boring chick thats more of an extra then a main character no matter how they try to force her into story lines

ABC Studios didn’t own the show, and after as many seasons as it had, costs go up to produce, especially if your studio doesn’t own the show. That is why ABC canned it, it had nothing to do with political nonsense

New Mandy would be fine, if OG Mandy weren't so awesome and set the bar super-high.

Adding Jen to fill Eve's absence is never a winning formula.

It wasn’t even some politically incorrect show. This has become some kind of folklore to add another notch on the belt for the persecuted right, since everyone is out to get them.

I’m pretty in the center politically, leaning left socially, and I actually enjoyed the show before it was cancelled. They made a few political jokes but everything was light-hearted and I certainly don’t think they ever came close to crossing any sort of line. When I think of “non-PC” shows, this wouldn’t even be close to the list.

If it pokes fun at liberal tropes, even in the most benign way, it can be considered non-pc because that is simply not tolerated these days. Just ask any comedian.

She was the only reason I watched the show. One of the hottest sitcom chicks ever.

What you stated is factually correct. However there are some additional facts...

This show was one of ABC's top shows in terms of viewership (as in 1st or 2nd... I cannot recall and am too lazy to research... ) and in spite of the fact they scheduled it early on Fridays which is historically one of the worst spots according to several sources I read. ABC could have met the increased costs of production and moved it to a better time slot but they elected to move on. Obviously I am not privy to discussions behind closed doors but there is clearly more to them moving on than what they stated.

edited to add: I have been in business for 40 years making strategic decisions and here is what I can tell you with a great deal of confidence; businesses are generally conservative and when you have something that is as popular as this program was at ABC you do everything you can to position it for success and profits until that horse is ridden into the ground. What ABC did given the circumstances was not a "business" decision.

Right. People act like this show was some line pushing badass show that shite on liberals and got canceled. In reality, it is a crappy show that made dumb stereotypical jokes about the right and the left. I cringed at how bad and cliche the jokes were.
