As usual, I see Will Smith acting. Not his character.

That looks pretty good. I was checking to make sure Will wasn't acting with his kids in this one and saw this

Judith Chapman as Nancy Reagan

That seems so odd. How is Nancy Reagan connected to this story?

He did lose himself in Concussion, I'll give him that.

When they were coming to national attention, they played at a Nancy Reagan tournament.

Ok that makes sense. I don't know what I was hoping for but I wanted something weird.

That actually looks pretty good. And man, I've never gotten the Will Smith hate. I've always liked that dude's acting (even though he hasn't done much of note in the last decade or so).

He's picked some bad projects and the way he has pushed his son has been bad.

But Will Smith is obviously a good actor and should have a much better filmography than he does.

Which is a bullshite narrative. Jaden Smith has been in like 4 movies and of the two they were in together he was a child in one and Will was worse than him in the other. Are people really mad that Jaden "ruined" the very terrible no matter what After Earth?

I don't hate him, but...
Remaking franchises like Wild Wild West and Aladdin pissed off a few generations.
Critics hate on him for taking "magic negro" roles like Bagger Vance.
Pushing his kids as talent pretty much pisses everyone off.
Celebrities dishing about how shitty his entourage and family are doesn't help.

I agree. But that doesn't mean that this isn't true:

And he has a pretty fantastic filmography. It's just that he specialized in blockbusters for a decade and a half (which was intentional), and then hasn't made much of note for the past decade as I said above. But he's a pretty gifted actor when he tries IMO.

And I can't stand Jaden Smith, but Pursuit of Happyness is a great movie.

It is.

I also like Seven Pounds. But that may be an unpopular opinion.

The story about the Williams sisters should be celebrated. They overcame so much, guided by their father. Good the story will make it to the big screen.

Hope they don't frick it up. I'll probably watch it, even though I'm not a huge fan of tennis or the Williams sisters.
