TFA is partially responsible for the mess of TLJ, and it was a complete ripoff. It deserves just as much hate.

It is an homage to a great film. Hell, you can even call it derivative.

Abrams never refutes that.

It left a ton of interesting pathways open.

To pretend like TFA is nearly as bad as TLJ, though. . .assuming that is what you are saying

It's going to be their strategy of changing people's perception on Ep 9 before it's released.

TFA was bad. There's no compelling villain or hero, it's predictable, and it set up the trash that became TLJ. Even copying the original couldn't save it. It used the same plot, but made it completely stupid with less believable characters.

What TFA did to Luke Skywalker should be enough for any Star Wars fan to hate it. There's plenty more to dislike about it, too.
