Idk. Dumbass netflix dropped all 3 films a few days after it started airing Cobra Kai. Only rewatched 1, so I don't recall 2 and 3.

2 is a good movie. 3 is a so-bad-it’s-good movie.

3 is slightly more rewatchable than 2, but the female actress and her character are both just terrible.

1 vs 2 is a tough call. 2 had much more going on and the stakes were higher, but 1 was such a solid albeit basic storyline
Imo fans wouldn't give near as much of a shite about 2, if not for establishing Miyagi in 1. Wouldnt be as strong on its own. 2 was mainly driven because we went to his home in Japan and learned some backstory. But thats kinda obvious, and its what people wanted.

Unlike young guns 2 vs young guns 1. You can watch 2 and jump right in. Both are solid films but YG2 is better than its prequel imo
..and daniel honking the nose is kinda lame. As was the poorly shot drum technique. But was more useful than a kata.

I have never seen 3 and after watching Cobra Kai and hearing Daniel talk about being in Cobra Kai, I decided to watch 3 this past weekend.
It was absolutely terrible. All Daniel does is whine through the entire movie. I was hoping he'd get his arse kicked. I really can't stand that guy.
Some things that stood out besides the whole stupid plot... Daniel decides to go get the tree without asking Miyagi. It's not his tree, he should have asked.
Miyagi sells his truck to pay for more trees, but we still see Daniel driving around in the car Miyagi gave him. A decent person would have given the car back, especially considering the whole thing was his fault.
They shouldn't have shown the viewers Silvers' plan. Would have been much better if we just think he's a decent guy who wants to help Daniel with the bully and then it's revealed towards the end that he's in cahoots with Kreese.
The rule change was retarded too. Daniel gets his arse beat the whole match and then gets one point in and wins.
what a shitty movie

Karate Kid 3 was the one with the bonsai trees? That movie was terrible. We saw it in the theater and people were walking out 30 minutes before it ended.

The only good thing about KK3 is that it isn't the Next Karate Kid, which I vaguely recall being about a group of fascist hall monitors.

All of this. It was like a bad straight to vhs sequel to a Disney movie. There are ways to make that terrible plot sorta work, but my goodness, they didn’t take them.

We never heard Kumiko's side of the story. We just take Daniel's word that she miraculously got asked to do some major dance stuff..which seems like odd timing.
I bet he hit it and quit it, and now has a kid in japan. Hopefully Chozen has given it proper guidance..
