Is this thread about the movie or upvotes/downvotes? I can't tell.

Now we can't give our thoughts on a film without presenting a personal film pedigree?
Of course we can! But we do this to reviewers all the time. Not sure why OP would get a pass. For example, I can't take anyone's sports movie opinion seriously if they think Rookie of the Year is better than Little Big League.

Nope.

And you're just looking for a debate.

And you a boogeyman.

Downvoting because someone liked a film that you haven't seen is being a straight-up a-hole.

That's a bit harsh, but sure, if that is actually what the downvote is for.

This movie got DC back on track. Had way more of a lighter tone to it than any of the other movies in this universe so far. Movie got straight to the plot from the first scene and introduced the new characters well. I thought the team works better together on the big screen than the avengers first did.

Hands down had best post credits scene of any Marvel/DC movie.

Well they killed off superman in the movie. Marvel has only paralyzed a supporting character.

He was killed by a character that kills him in the comics after which he came back. We all knew he was coming back this go round. They took ideas from *gasp* comic source material...in a comic book movie. Same as Marvel does. Difference is to this point Marvel consistently does it better in their shared universe.

I just struggle to understand the risk taking argument here. It’s a comic movie, not an Oscar nominee. A risk would be truly killing off Affleck’s Batman and replacing him with a Terry McGinnis character. That would still be taken poorly because people love Bruce Wayne though. It’s a catch 22

People are determined to hate the new DC wave since Synder is still attached to this movie and he gets all the hate. Doesn't matter if it's actually good or not.

No they didn't.

And the only reason Snyder "killed" Superman is because he dislikes Superman. It served no narrative purpose.
