It is impressive how many bad things can happen in one show…it makes GoT look like a 1940’s Disney Fairytale…I want to like it, but it is nothing but one disaster after another. Utter gloom.

It’s Taylor Sheridan writing. That’s every episode of every show he’s ever been a part of.

All he knows is melodrama.
I do have to give him props for cinematography. He does a really good job of making the setting its own character.

There’s unrealistically so much bad luck it becomes laughable at some point. It takes an act of God to survive 1923 and 1924.

It's because actually developing storylines and dialogue requires effort, and he's just been mailing it in show after show. Its much easier to write continuous disaster and calamity..
