EXCLUSIVE: After a star-making turn in HBO’s hit series Lovecraft Country, Jonathan Majors is now ready to make his mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big way. Majors has been tapped for one of the lead roles in the next Ant-Man movie opposite Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily. The studio had no comment, but sources close to the project say he is likely to play the super-villain Kang the Conquer.

Sources add that like with so many new characters in the MCU, there could be a twist with how the character is featured in future films, but as of now he is likely to be one of the main villains in the next installment in the franchise.

I mean this doesn't have show the hand on FF casting, but it might.

I'm not familiar with this guys work, so tough to have an opinion.

But Kang is awesome as villain, one of the GOATs, so there's that. Exciting stuff I would think.

Being a Richards & everything? I feel like the MCU won’t make them related.

I’m actually bummed that the Harley is Kang theory won’t work out.

Nathaniel Richards is a distant descendant of Reed, so his being black doesn't necessarily mean that Reed or Sue will be black.

Incredible in The Last Black Man in San Francisco. The best performance in Da 5 Bloods (not a high bar). Good in Lovecraft Country.

Good for him.

And I think he'd be better with better stories. The show went downhill fast for me.

Kang is blue and from the 30th century, so it absolutely doesn't matter what skin color he is.

No shite. As my response to Freaux was simultaneously pointing out that Kang doesn’t have to be related to Reed.

This didn't happen as a "thing," sure there will always be that one guy, but not a movement like the Bond controversy.

Had nothing really to do with skin color, more to do with Domino's look being incredibly unique, and them not following through on it.

I mean I get that to a degree, but some complaints go beyond just being a fanboy...

I think it probably had more to do with budget than anything. They may have just really liked the actress, but there is a reason they poked fun of their low budget and d list x-men.
