C420: They should have just found someone that looks like book snape
Also C420: I just don't think Snape's skin color is a key part of his character/his characters' influence on the story.
I think it is possible have this guy play Snape in the show AND have a more book accurate depiction of Snape than the movies, albeit not more physically accurate.
You’re all over the map.

none of those posts are contradictory
they should have just found someone that looks like snape to avoid all this bullshite social media outrage
I "personally" don't think Snape's skin color matters at all in context of the story
him being black is less physically accurate to how he was written in the books than a 35 year old pale skinned guy with dark hair would be.
if he was written as a 35 year old black guy in the books, it wouldn't have changed anything, but he wasn't

I swear, you must aspire to work as a Democrat spokesperson.
Your full original sentence.
"They should have just found someone that looks like book snape, there is no shortage of actors".
What you're claiming now.
"they should have just found someone that looks like snape to avoid all this bullshite social media outrage"
Either you're trolling, and not responding in any sense of good faith, or you're dealing with some type of mental deficiency. I'd ask which is it, but I've no delusion of getting a serious, honest response.
We get it. Everyone is exactly the same, identical, and no one person's life can't be interchanged with another. We're all just carbon copies of one another, right?

LOL dude, read the whole post you just took that quote from, and you dare call me dishonest, I said they should have cast someone that looks like book snape right after I said
quote:
quote:
Harry Potter fans have opinions.
It's a bad casting job for that reason
There are a ton of fans that are upset by this casting.

Nope, it's the elites vs the rest of us, not white vs black or brown or whatever the media throws at yall to divide you like sheep.

Your attempt to cover for yourself is dismal. You didn't write what you think you wrote. It may have sounded like that in your head, but honestly, you're not conveying your thoughts or opinions very well.
JK Rowling wrote these books nearly 30 years ago. Then they made movies off of these books.
Snape is as she intended for him to be. On the pages she wrote, and then on the big screen. So when anyone claims they're going for BOOK ACCURATE characters, it's dirt simple as to what that means.
Fans of the original story have every damn reason to be annoyed if they're told the upcoming series is going for an even more book accurate presentation.
Stop pretending there's any ambiguity. This is the same psychotic nonsense we were told about The Witcher, Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, etc..

this is summed up as social media outrage. what else could you possibly think I was referring to when I said tons of fans upset over it?

That the fans were right. The ones who bought over 500 million of her books have every right to expect that 'book accurate' means exactly what it says.
There was nothing about social media in your initial comment. You added that one as an after thought, for reasons I can bet but you'll never admit.
And I posted that 'Harry Potter fans have opinions' to show you and everyone this isn't MY imagined spin, or some YouTuber grifting off clickbait BS, inventing something out of the ether to garner views, but actual fans not being enthusiastic over the *choice.
Fact is, you said the quiet part out loud, got caught, and now you're crawfishin' to get out of it.
* And at present, no actual role has been cast. It's not set in stone. Yet. But we'll see.

if you don't see how that is referring to social media outrage I cant help you
I think you have created an entire narrative in your head that doesn't exist.

Yes
It’s nothing what you did.
It’s nothing what you did.
