Marvel wins again.

Huh?
That article just made me go soft.
Imagining JGL as Batman is all I wanted to do. TDKR was a great ending that let me know that Gotham would have a new Batman, I didn't actually want to Robin turn into Batman. So we're going to have a Batman that isn't named Bruce Wayne? A Batman named Robin. Sweet.
I'm sick of freaking comic book remakes and comic book movies in general really. They are playing these things out bad.

We'll get a new Batman but it would be stupid not to use MoS Superman if he's successful. We just don't have confirmation yet.
If I were doing Superman, I would try to compose a trilogy from the start and have villains that are absolute worldwide threats, to where having a Justice League would stand in the way. Aside from Zod really, almost all of Superman's most threatening antagonists pretty much call for a Justice League. Therefore it would stand in the way of the franchise.

I know all the comic folks are all about some batman beyond or whatever shite, but to the general public Bruce Wayne is batman, not sure how accepting they'll be of anything else
I'd love for them to do Batman Beyond, but this clearly isn't Batman Beyond. I'm guessing they'd have to completely ignore Bruce Wayne in the Justice League movie, which would make it jarring. Batman Beyond makes it about Batman being old, so it would still work in a theatrical setting and have people realize what exactly is going on.

Batman is over. Nolan ended it perfectly. Anyone who believes otherwise is a pinko fig.
There are other Batman stories and villains outside of the ones Nolan used. Batman should go the way of the Bond franchise really.

they're doing a Batman reboot in as little as 3 years? that's disappointing. need at least a decade for Nolan's trilogy to marinate and for our minds to reset and be ready for a new take.
anything other than that is simply a money grab.

Yeah, but you know Warner is just looking at what the avengers grossed and thinking they need to shove 5 of their heroes in a movie ASAP
But after TDK trilogy and a pretty gritty interesting MOS trailer, ill give WB the benefit of the doubt
ETA: the avengers blows

The ending to TDKR is silly and completely out of character. It's a contradiction to what makes Batman so great. Tragic but great.
As much as I love Bale, I look forward to seeing a Batman with actual presence and not a lumbering goofball who needs a lasagne.

That's not true. It would be a money grab if they tried to mimic Nolan's style of Batman going forward.
There are so many different ways that they can make new Batman movies going forward.

I'm glad it's a false rumor. JGL just doesn't have the look for Batman for me. Until/unless he bulks up a bit, he's more a Robin or Nightwing at best.

Nolanverse should be done, imo.
