I don't really know what I was expecting from the Netflix documentary, but felt pretty underwhelmed by it.

I thought they would maybe dive a little more into the reality vs acting aspects of the show. It just seemed to skim a lot of the topics and never really get too deep into anything.

Watched it the other night and yeah I agree, didn’t really add anything new

Netflix really continues to not deliver when they seemingly have a great topic for a doc but then it just ends up being surface level stuff that’s more of a recap of the subject adding very little new information

Didn’t understand the point of it. Was the foreign guy killing the lady supposed to be compelling? Out of everything on that show, that’s the story they chose to spend the most time on?

Also, minus points for no Hillbilly Ninja

It seems that like all of these "documentary" type shows are just a ploy to conjure up nostalgia. Nothing more.

I met a girl that was on there through a friend. A complete trashy girl that was proud of being on there.

I asked her if it was staged and she told me no. She didn't get paid to be on there but I think they flew her out for free.

She was even willing to show me the video. I passed.

Yeah and I didn’t really follow the timeline on that anyway, but sounded like she reunited with the guy after the show at some point and he eventually ended up killing. Was that really on the show ?

Couldn’t they at least have tracked down some former guests and gotten their experience? Did they sign NDAs?

The way I understood it was that he and the mom hooked up before the show (after he met the other lady). They filmed the show and he spurned the mom. At some point after filming, he and the mom got back together and bought the house.

He got drunk at a bar, watched the episode, then went to the house and killed the mom.

I am hazy on if that was the first time the episode aired, or if he saw it by coincidence.

The son also cleared up a question I’ve asked forever. They do not tell the people the name of the episode before they film.

I was so disappointed. 90 minutes? Could have been 8 hours

And how the hell do you not even mention Steve?
