I think Voight mentioned he watched Scarface before filming to prepare for the accent.

I have seen Anaconda more than any other movie. One summer, when I was 11, it played in the dollar cinema across the road from my neighborhood. A friend and I probably went every day that summer to watch it. I have really fond memories of this, admittedly bad, movie so I do not want to see it remade. Especially since it will be played as a comedy now.
