he' like this slick PI wears tailored suits and drive a 66 vette but there's a plot twist that you find half way through season 1 that will blow you away.

You forgot to mention that he's a PI in a very noir-style show with gorgeous visuals. And by that I don't mean a lot of hot dames but that beautiful blue C2 Corvette. 
And yeah, it goes off the rails near the end of the season.
