Fantastic movie with a stellar cast. Never seen a thread about it here.
Still holding out hope that one day someone will discover the 5-hour version that Stanley Kramer supposedly edited together before shortening to a 'more reasonable' 3 hours plus.

A favorite around our house. Highly recommend the Criterion Bluray, which features the closest we'll likely ever get to the 202-minute 'roadshow' version (their restoration, which includes recorded dialog over still photos in a couple of spots, is 197 minutes).

Now that guy was funny without trying.

The segment that had Milton Berle, as J. Russell Finch, with his wife, and MIL (Ethel Merman), in a car, was good. After they had car trouble and got in the Jeep wagon with Lt. Col. J. Algernon Hawthorne, it got even more funny.

The MIL's worthless son and his girlfriend added to the situation.

I’m not saying it is better but I really enjoyed this movie and felt like it was a,”hey look at that guy moment” a good bit.

Pawn Shop Chronicles

Brendan Fraser as Ricky
Elijah Wood as Johnny Shaw
Vincent D'Onofrio as Alton
Thomas Jane as The Man
Lukas Haas as Vernon
Norman Reedus as Stanley
Matt Dillon as Richard
Paul Walker as Raw Dog
Kevin Rankin as Randy
Chi McBride as Johnson
DJ Qualls as JJ
Ashlee Simpson as Theresa

This was the final film featuring Walker to be released in his lifetime, as he died four months after its release.
