ASM2 isn't good but it isn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.

Garfield is a great Spiderman

Chemistry with Gwen was solid if not great.

This.

Yes. Look up my thread trashing it.

They made Elector insanely powerful with zero chance of being stopped so then they essentially turned Spidey into Superman with the ability to withstand any amount of damage and massive electricity.

Then even though the power plant was almost 100% destroyed. Chick saves the day by literally flipping a switch.

The whole Electro thing is bad, but it has some good pieces.

No it isn't a good film.

Quality-wise, F4 was way worse, but even it didn't make Fox tap out with the characters

We don't know that yet....I doubt Fox does anything with the F4 going forward.

I think the trauma of watching the film did some brain damage to you thus as time has passed, you forget the pain this movie caused.

Hell, Paul Giamatti is worse than anything in Spidey 3. At minimum, he is equally as bad as Emo Spidey.

"I need you"

"Oh....you need me?"

"Pllllllleeeeeeaaaasssseeee"

I agree.

The world building going on in the Amazing Spider-Man series was better than anything going on in the Raimi films.

I liked the first one and honestly I liked the second one until Paul Giamatti ruined the entire movie and made it unwatchable in the last 30 seconds

I agree. That was so bad, almost like they called a fan in that day to make a 20 second sequence, and it took one take.

Overall did not like ASM, none of them. Garfield's Peter parker was terrible, his spidey was okay. The Gwen staci relationship was terribly undeveloped and. ...all of that shite followed into ASM2 for me.

Why did electro want to kill spidey again? I can't even think of the other villain right now.

And I liked he and Gwen together as you could see that had an actual chemistry

So? There was no development of their relationship. It just happened out of thin air. We were just supposed to accept they woke up and instantly liked each other?

At least Tobey Maguire spidey worked to get to Mj throughout multiple movies. They were next door neighbors and obviously ran into each other enough. You can clearly see the relationship building from strangers to friends to lovers.

Garfield ando Staci went from strangers to lovers in less than half the movie. No friends, no going through anything together, no obstacles. Why should we care if there's nothing there to make us care? Should we care because we know they're supposed to be together because that's just how the comics go?

It is possible for people to fall for each other quickly. That's what happened in the first ASM.
