Anyone remember an unknown Kevin Spacey as Mel Profitt in the old CBS drama Wiseguy?

Not really. In fact I don't think you know charismatic means. People follow him because they fear him. He doesn't inspire or awe them.

Maybe the Downvoters can give examples of Lalo's charisma. He is a great character just not a charismatic one.

I wonder if he's actually still alive post-BB. I bet Gus was lying.

Pot meet kettle.

He is obviously personable and charming. And therefore charismatic by definition. Damn near every scene he is in could be used as an example.

Inspiring or awesome has nothing to do with charisma.

Yeah, his character is the definition of charismatic. A maniac who gives orders from an upbeat and encouraging tone and face (yet that makes him more fearsome for his underlings). Like him pumping up Saul and encouraging him, finagling his way to speak with Werner on the phone. I agree there are moments where he breaks that mold and comes off super serious like the scene with Kim.

The scene with Don Eladio. How he works the whole party and then makes a big presentation of the car/money.

Damned if I don’t find myself liking him.

I haven't seen him be charming or personable. I seen him be sycophant and a tyrant.

Lalo gets what he wants through fear and intimidation not because of charm. He is a dangerous fricking a-hole like all of the Salamancas. Again a great character just not charismatic IMO.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this simple point. I feel confident my view is consistent with the majority view, for what that’s worth.
