It's a lot of fun. "Lady Killer" (1933) is perhaps my favorite of Cagney's early-30s WB outings, along with "Blonde Crazy" (1931). Both are on the comedic side. Least favorite Cagney title for me is "Jimmy the Gent" (1934), which isn't too hot. Most others are decent, mid-range, like "Taxi" (1932), "Winner Take All" (1932), "The St. Louis Kid" (1934), and perhaps a few I'm forgetting. "The Mayor of Hell" (1933) is overly grim.for my tastes.
Cagney's early-30s films were mostly nice, zippy programmers until 1935, when his films went more upscale with "G-Men" (1935) and "Devil Dogs of the Air" (1935), and beyond.
