I'm not a big 3d fan, but the first one was the OG 3D film

I hate 3D movies, but I saw it in 3D.
It’s the way the movie was made to be viewed.

No.
I watched the original in the 3d when it came out and it felt very immersive.
I watched the new one in the 3d GPX. The new one seemed like a 2d movie with 3d glasses. I was very let down on the experience.

I saw it in Real3D tonight. I can't imagine not seeing it at least once in 3D.
When it ends up on streaming soon, it'll certainly look good on my 65" OLED tv, but ultimately, it's a glorified 3-hour theme park ride, so having 3D depth on a two-story-high screen is a must to fully appreciate the motion.

The glasses annoy me after a while and the movie feels like it’s 9 hours long

If you are going to see it, see it in 3D. Ideally in a theater that has HFR and good screens.
It’s the first film since the first Avatar to really warrant it.

Easy….YES. See it in “Real 3D”, the way the film is intended to be viewed.
