Went to see When Harry Met Sally last night at the bijou. Walk in to Tinseltown to my reserved seats and voila, the entire theatre is filled, every seat taken, including mine.

Turns out US96 had this date night thing going on where they gave away tickets for a special screening of the movie. Never mind I bought mine two nights prior to the blessed event.

Went down and spoke to to DJs, they went and checked with management and yup, they were in the wrong theatre.

Yes, yours truly made the whole theatre get up and leave. Some poor schmucks who were sitting in those front seats nobody wants were actually in my predicament but didn't say anything.

Went outside ten minutes later and they were all standing in hallway waiting for a theatre to open. I got some looks that weren't too favorable to say the least.

There are people who don't do this? If I have a reserved seat, and you're sitting in it, you will move.

When I went to see passion i had a church group tell me I needed to move so they could all sit together. I was that guy that cussed at a youth leader in the theatre to see the passion of the christ. He wouldn't stop insisting and there were plenty of other open spaces. It wasn't what he said but how he said it.

The fact that you did that over When Harry Met Sally, I'm standing and applauding for you right now.

I fought during midsommar.

Whole theater was empty and a tweaker decided to sit behind and talk the whole time.

I cant really go to theathers anymore.

I remember going see Captain America: Civil War with two buddies. We always book early so we booked the best seats in the theatre. A trio of people came up, a married/dating couple and another guy. The couple sat together to the right of us, and the other guy was seperated and sat to our left. He kept looking over in their direction and started doing these passive aggressive frustrated grunts like a petulant child. I didn’t even pay him the slightest bit of attention. He wanted us to volunteer to move over so he could sit with his people which we were never, ever going to do, and didn’t.

I've been that dude at easter. I'm in church wayyyyyy early, about 10 people scattered here and there after I'm already in the preferred location to have a couple come in and insist that I move because they really want their family to sit together "there" even though there are many pews still open.

Reserved seating has alleviated most of the old problem of people coming in and asking you to get up and move for them. We'll occasionally have the people that sit one seat over so they're not right next to a stranger, and expect us to do the same. (The obvious problem is that when the theater fills, the people with tickets for those empty seats make the entire row get up and move to their assigned seats.)

I don't care who I ask to get up out of my purchased seat. I'm not going through musical chairs because they need extra personal space.

I had a situation where THAT guy sat next to me. In my single days, I would go to the movies by myself. I went see Adventureland and there wasn't that many people in the theatre. So, basically each group of people had at least half a row to themselves. Then comes in a group of teenagers and they sit in my row. There's plenty of room, so I didn't think anyone would sit next to me. Enter THAT guy. The group files in and there is one seat between me and the group and the guy sits in it. There were a few seats open all around me, but I didn't won't to get up a look like a douche.

I would've asked and offered to get a drink when I got mine. Or popcorn.

Sometimes if I go alone I'll buy two seats so I can sit alone.

I should pitch this to Larry David. Sounds like something he would do.
