And I lurk this board pretty hard. It seems like this is EXTREMELY liked by the movie/tv community... I'm watching episode 1 right now. At what episode should I be hooked.

TIA

I watched the first 6 episodes twice and just couldn't get into it.

I'm gonna try again one day

Best show in television history. Watched all 64ish episodes in two weeks.

As someone with very similar tastes, I suggest you try again It's not a cliff hanger, action-packed, edge of your seat show. Gotta let it develop.

Just watch it and enjoy it because its all downhill after you have seen The Wire, except for watching it the second, third or fourth times.

The first episode of season one got me hooked.

I came in not liking season 2 immediately because it didn't focus on the Barksdale gang as much, but later it ended up becoming one of my favorite seasons.

I doubt you'll see any episodes in any season that would cause you any regrets tbh.

damn. guess it's just not your thing

I have batted a thousand with anyone and everyone IRL I've ever recommended this to. But none of them ever said they didn't like either of the first 2 eps.

Why do so many people ask when you should be hooked? Just watch the show. If you like it, great. If not, great.

I mean they weren't bad dont get me wrong... I'm going to push on to ep. 3 but I think it's the lack of action and my brutal tiredness that's making me find it kinda meh

Just to know at what point should it be ok to pass judgement on whether or not I'll like the show or not... Kinda like in another series that I watch. Most people think its slow but once a certain encounter by a man named Jamie and a kid named Brann happens... They're hooked.
