I have tried to soldier through "How I Met Your Father", but no more.

Not a woke or whatever thing.
Feel like I am the last guy still watching.
The writing and dialog are as bad as that horrific Craig Robinson sitcom years ago. . .which is to say among the worst ever.
I kept waiting for a likable character to emerge to carry the show, like Barney Stinson.
2 seasons in, nada.

I watched most of the 1st season hoping it would get better but it didn’t. They just missed on too many characters. On HIMYM even the unlikable characters like Ted and Lily had their funny moments and served an important purpose in story telling.
It feels like the British guy’s purpose is to be weird, and the Asian lesbian adopted sister’s purpose is to be diverse. That trifecta could have actually made for an interesting character, but she’s probably the most boring one on the show, in season 1 at least.
I’m not saying Barney wasn’t likable, but what he brought to the show was bad decision making for the group. It would have been a boring show without Barney. I didn’t see a comparable character on HIMYF.

They lost their mojo when Barney & Robin hooked up. Tried to be clever & subvert expectations yet failed Bigly,
No recovery from that.
It was always going to be Robin. The daughter was her mini me. It was baked into the show & they botched it.

I don't know how anyone liked HIMYM enough to even consider watching HIMYF. HIMYM was good for only 3 or 4 seasons before it jumped the shark and didn't have any likeable characters

I couldn't get through the first season of the original show. Josh Radner might be the most annoying actor to ever play the lead on a tv series.
