The underrated line is when Robert Stack is driving to the airport to help out and he sees a cyclist and says "hey, I know that guy" and then proceeds to hit him and the cyclist then flips over the car, falls to the ground and yells a-hole.

It was my favorite movie when I was a kid (6-ish?). Except I didn’t know it was a comedy, I just wanted Ted to be able to land that plane!
I’m not sure when it clicked that it was a comedy, but the movie became even better than.
Also, sometimes at work if there is 2 people taking in an office I’ll peek my head in and say “I just wanted to tell you both good luck, we’re all counting on you” - and walk off without saying another word.

He's a menace to himself and everything in the air.

Seen this movie a million times. Love the Kareem Abdul Jabbar cameo.

SOme friends and I went to see it last month at theatre. They brought their 16 year old son and his friend.
They got none of the jokes. I started thinking about it and realized they wouldn't know any of the references for the jokes.
