By Elaine's reaction to the price tag, it had to be at least 1000.

Imma say it was 1200

Keep in mind this show is like 20 years old so you have to factor in inflation.

$1000

I always hated the fact that he didn't just ball it up and walk jacket-less to the restaurant.

I think yall will get a kick out of this nugget about the actor that played Elaine's dad.
quote:

during filming it was discovered that Tierney had stolen a butcher knife from the knife block in the Jerry's apartment set.
quote:

Tierney, realizing he had been caught, tried to make a joke about how he thought taking the knife would be funny, by reanacting a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), holding the knife above his head and making threatening motions towards Seinfeld.[4][10] Tom Cherones, Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus saw this happen, and, as Alexander recalled, it "scared the living crap out of all of us."[3] Cherones stated that, afterwards, Larry David would jokingly threaten to have Tierney back on the show

We had a funny guy in Korea. Tailgunner. Got his brains blown out over the Pacific...there's nothing funny about that.

back on topic. I agree with $2k +. I know it was 20 yrs ago, but they also lived in New York, one of the most expensive cities to live in. Gotta factor that in too.

I was thinking that was way too high also. I guess it all depends on what kind of suede it is. Just being in NYC wouldn't double the price.
