The opening scene is shot on Chalmette High School's football field.

The boy who plays Will's son is from Central. Saw it on channel 9 news last night. Woma who plays his wife is originally from Baton Rouge, but moved a long time ago. She was married to Dennis Hopper.

I thought it had some pretty funny parts. The part where will ferrel gets bit by the snake was good and galifinakis having trouble opening doors was funny too

Ferrel's shtick is getting old, but every second of Galifinakis on screen was funny.

When does he start doing play-by-play for college football on ESPN?

I was very underwhelmed. It had some funny parts, but it didn't have me "ready to laugh," as I was for most of Ferrell's other big movies.

Not that funny. Trailer was funnier. I'm not amused by Will Ferrell saying stuff about dicks and nuts typically. Given the fairly high RT rating, I expected it to be at least as funny as TED. It wasn't even close.

To be honest, I'd probably love that.

And I just back from seeing the movie. LAUGHED. MY. arse. OFF. THE. WHOLE. TIME. My face cheeks hurt from smiling for long periods of time.

I found it to be well worth the watch. The first part had me laughing out loud. The end got a little preachy, but the overall movie was funny enough to carry the laughs, IMO.

I thought it was very funny. The political satire was spot on. I will watch it again.

It had a few funny scenes. The confession time at the dinner table was pretty good. Overall I thought it was pretty bad. I wasn't expecting much but it was worse than that. I agree with the others, it's the same old worn out characters that Farrell always does. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My 19 yr old nephew loved it.

I thought the movie was pretty funny...had some dull moments as any film does, but overall the movie was good. The confession table scene, the voicemail scene and the hunting scene's were all hilarious to me. I could have done w/o Brian Cox in the movie but Im not complaining
