Pretty awakening watch. It amazes me the world some people live in and the things they subject themselves too. Got pretty depressing at the end.
I had the hots for Ava Taylor until watching this. Now I feel shitty for ever looking her up.

Just young girls being manipulated into a lifestyle and depressed. Feeling forced to ‘perform’. The scene where there about to shoot a scene with the creepy older dude was very awkward to watch.
I’m not sure how a man with a daughter could ever enjoy porn. It’s hard for me now and I don’t.

Says he’s under investigation in Baton Rouge?

Remember when you only had to talk to tour kids about drugs and gangs?

Whoa, I’m def going to watch that

The most awkward scene was when the dude invited his GF to a house party. It was pretty clear that a number of the dudes at this party watched her videos.

c'mon
the GDP girls were manipulated (b/c they were lied to about distribution)
these girls know EXACTLY what they're getting into

I don't think they have a clue or they are willfully ignoring the obvious.
On a different note, I find it funny that girls who seem to go viral (Kendra Sutherland) seem to have more successful careers than these girls.

Agreed.
They weren't lied to about the job being them having sex with a stranger while being filmed. As a practical matter it's hard to swallow (pun intended) that eventual distribution on the internet is the bridge too far. Is it likely these girls have significant regret about what they did? Absolutely. Is it a bit scummy to take advantage of young girls who may be going through some tough times? Probably. But at the end of the day they still knew they were being paid to be filmed having sex. No one forced them to accept that line of work. It's hard for me to have that much sympathy for them. Particularly when you consider that there are thousands of women who film themselves having sex with their husband/boyfriend and think that it is only for their personal viewing, only to have the boyfriend/husband later put it on the internet for the world to see.

i think most are just dumb
their other options are minimum wage jobs in BFE

yeah becoming an "it" girl seems to do wonders in porn. i'm no expert but i assume it's just an issue with quantity. there is an endless stream of cute/pretty girls who want to do porn so they're just in this faceless mob
the girls in this documentary are clearly in one of the lowest level productions

it's the job and other things, like potentially being famous and living in a cool city like Miami or LA
i just don't think we should judge these girls too harshly when they have little options generally and being cute/pretty is their most marketable trait. basically if we say "you're terrible for doing porn" we essentially say "you are doomed to shitty jobs or being a SAHM for some guy in middle america"
this mythology that they have all these other options is pure fantasy and often ignored by the anti-porn crowd. Rashida Jones making this documentary was always ironic, b/c she got her foot in the door in Hollywood b/c of her famous dad. these girls don't have that sort of "in" so they'll never get the same opportunity

Especially when most guys see a dumb/pretty girl in a bar as the perfect opportunity for a pick-up and dump.
