I’ve seen the majority of those films, and they are all damned good movies. Haven’t seen “Cat People” or “Critters” since I was a kid, though.

I mean, they're not wrong about all the movies they reviewed. 
But I never understood why they drew a line in the sand and got so up in arms about alot of the slasher movies of the '80s. Exploitation moves had been around for at least a couple of decades or more by that time, and there were much more depraved offerings before Jason and Freddy made it to the big screen. The '80s theatrical slashers were too cartoonish to take seriously.
