If Brody had pushed the button on the suicide vest at the end of season one this show could've been awesome. Now we have a family drama.

The family drama still would have happened because it wouldn't have taken long to find out who pushed that button. Also...Brody's confession tape would have gone out to every media outlet in the country soon after.

I can see your point. And it's very possible that we will get it in smaller doses starting next week. Brody has been MIA and I have a feeling we will see a lot of him in the next episode.

Which was the writers original plan right? I don't remember their reason for changing.
As far as this season goes, I'm ok with waiting patiently for a little longer. Homeland is more about the buildup to me so, while I don't like the focus on the Brody Bunch, I can deal for a little longer.

I'm not saying that it doesn't have a place in the show, but this on top of how much time they spent last season with her and the VP's son is just too much.

I'm saying it doesn't and has devolved into a total waste of time. I turned the channel last night after her romp in the psych ward. I can't handle the stupidity of this writing crew any longer.
Carrie is crazy. Yes, we get it for the 40th time.
Dana is the most boring character on TV. Who cares about their family? If Mama Brody isn't getting naked showing titties- what really is the point of this?
I still don't know the name of their son. Is he supposed to be just some giant troll to the audience? "Glad you're home"....uhhh ok.

I quit after season 2 and it looks like that was a good decision. I enjoyed season 1 though, sucks that it went to shite.

Haha. Surely the writers hear the criticisms of Dana, what do they do...make her a more prominent character. The upcoming Dana interested in Islam storyline is going to be hilarious. This show is almost on the level of The Following in terms of stupid storytelling.

We have had 2-3 episodes without Brody. The star of the show is just gone. Also, I noticed Mike was never properly let go on the show. I read he wouldn't return but how about tying that loose end up?

this. I'm gonna stick with Homeland because I've liked the past two seasons, but after the Dexter debacle, I can't argue with anyone in this thread who is ready to walk away.
