This is Showtime we're talking about. There's no way they write them out. Those execs love their pointless side stories.

I'm all kinds of meh on this show. After DEXTER, I trust nothing Showtime puts out. I probably won't even view Masters of Sex.

Who else felt uncomfortable watching the daughter strip? She can't be old enough can she?

Morgan Saylor aka "Dana Brody"
Born: October 26, 1994 (18 years of age)

How many of you orgasmed to Thora Birch when she showed off here complete set of tits in American Beauty?

Thora Birch aka "Jane Burnham"
Born: March 11, 1982 (17 years of age - but 16 years of age when she filmed her topless scene)

Her parents had to sign a waiver and also had to be present, on set, while they filmed that scene. How awkward must that have been?

Not a great start to the season. They've already done the "marginalized Carrie fighting to get back" bit, and it would seem they've set the stage for it again. Maybe she really goes rogue this time.

Did not watch their new shows. Showtime really are a bunch of whores dragging all these series out long past their expiration dates. Weeds, Californication, Dexter, etc. They should shorten SHO to HO.

Kind of thought so too.

I think it was a mistake to kill off Estes so soon, it just doesn't feel right without him.

I have no idea what is happening with this show. They blew a hole in the ground and killed a ton of people...

But Carrie is walking around free making thread maps?

I bought into this show last year, despite my reservations of the stupid daughter story line.

1. Californication is garbage. Hank should have committed suicide by now. I did not watch last season. Horrible character- just not a good person. Actually, there isn't one redeemable character on this show. All horrible people.

2. Weeds went down the toilet.

3.Dexter. Enough said.

Showtime is about on the same level as Cinemax- who now has shows. That nobody has ever watched. Like ever.

I have Cinemax. I never even knew they produced TV shows. It's like watching the low budget porno of bad tv dramas

The producers love the actress who plays Dana (Morgan Saylor) - they treat her like she's a transcendent talent. They don't seem to care that 90% of the audience hates her guts.

They need to turn Chris into some sort of sexual drug deviant. Otherwise he's just there to troll the audience.

They are turning Peter Quinn into Jason Bourne (assassin who's robotic life is rocked by a child .... which makes him question his purpose in life).

Where the frick is superhero Mike Faber?

Jess and her mom planning for the future = zzzzzzzzzz.

Carrie off her meds -> drinking heavily and porking a random dude, hello Season 1.

Saul trying to save the CIA by doing things the Dar Adal way. He's still the moral compass and there is endgame to all of this, but it seems so fake.

Back then, she had the hygienic decency to slow down and wipe off her vag in mid-stride. Those days are over!

Also thought the premier was meh. I agree they shouldn't have killed off estes, I liked his character alot.

I have a feeling that season 1 was the peak of Homeland. Season 2 wasn't as good, and 3 seems to be on that same track

You really make me want to check out on this show. It's just absurd they'd ever let her back in the CIA.

It's only the first episode - every once in a while a boring episode happens. No reason to abandon ship just yet.

What did people not like about season 2? I'm just curious.

I liked it, but not as much as Season 1.

It was passable but still ridiculous. This is bordering on absurd now.

I don't know why, but I am still very bothered by the way Saul completely threw Carrie to the wolves.

They have set that relationship up as Saul being Carrie's "work father" and it just seemed so out of character for Saul to do that to Carrie.

The writers could have surely come up with 100s of other ways that had Carrie become the scapegoat without Saul doing what he did.

It's just bad writing and character development.

It bothered me too. I have to think he has a reason for it, a trick up his sleeve.

Yeah there's more behind him exposing Carrie like that.

The "24-esque" aspects of the show were not as interesting to some people. The Dana storyline ended up with nothing, which was very disappointing.

Season 1 was pure magic - the "is he/is he not" mystery of whether or not Brody was a terrorist was amazing TV, and they wrote it in a fantastic way. The spy game / voyeuristic aspects were what made Season 1 great, whereas Season 2 was more blatant and up-front with everything.

Unfortunately, that mystery couldn't last forever. The writers also move story lines along at a rapid pace sometimes (except Dana bullshite).

to me, season 1 is some of the best tv i've ever watched. season 1 of homeland was better than any season of breaking bad, it was that good. season 2 started strong, and then it just got ridiculous.

my biggest gripe with breaking bad is that too much silly stuff happens(train robbery, first walt/tuco scene, etc.) and i have the same issue with season 2 of homeland. i understand these shows are fiction and require suspension of disbelief, but alot of the shite just isnt plausible.
