True Blood is shite, IMO. I've tried several times to get in to that show and it's never going to happen.

There are just way too many movies and TV shows focused on New Orleans right now. No offense but New Orleans just doesn't have the scope of a New York or L.A. At some point, the well is going to run dry.

right now, some of the best shows for me aren't on HBO like Showtime's Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
and the best show on TV, AMC's Breaking Bad!
So HBO needs to do some homework!

Showtime and AMC has surpassed HBO in recent years IMO. They haven't been the same since the Sopranos and The Wire went off the air.

Like that Spartacus is on Starz?
Side note, it is probably Lucky Louie or John From Cincinnati. Anyone that says Treme, Entourage, and True Blood are not looking at the whole of the HBO catalog. I harp on Entourage and True Blood for sucking but it is mostly due to the fact that they are just okay but are the signature shows on the network that gave us The Wire, Sopranos and Deadwood.
Edit: That said, I am looking forward to Boardwalk Empire (which given its pedigree should be outstanding) and Game of Thrones.

You can say the Breaking Bad is the best show on TV. It isn't that controversial and there are only really two other shows that even rival it right now (Mad Men and Sons of Anarchy).

That show even made sex look bland. I don't understand the message it was trying to convey. People have relationship problems and dependencies. Who doesn't know that?

The show was a mess but seeing Penny from Lost having sex keeps it from being one of the worst ever.

The Room also had a sex scene, you know.

The show was bad but it was no The Room.
