All the intel I've read lately is that both sides want the deal in place weeks before Christmas to take advantage of Roku TV shopping spree, with big synergy between the two boosting sales for both if a deal is reached.

I had a Firestick Amazon sent us for free a couple of months ago so I sideloaded the Max app but since we have Roku on all of our TV's this would be welcome. I did the same for Peacock.

It still blows my mind that HBO just up a created a 3rd stand alone app, INSTEAD of just using one damn app.

Our TVs are all different. Two have Roku, the one in my office is Samsung, another uses a firestick, and the newest one is some Android service. HBO Max, Shudder, and Peacock are scattered across random places in my house that have those apps. It’s lame.

The rebranding made perfect sense IMO the HBOMax service is really significantly different than Now and Go. It really is the app to rule them all in the HBO universe and if it wasn't for the monetary issues it would have been fairly seamless.

What are you talking about?

They have HBO Max for non-HBO-subscribers.

They have HBO (the app) for subscribers.

Some subscribers get both for free.

If we're dishing rumors, after cancelling Venture Bros., Adult Swim says they're in negotiations to continue it in some fashion (rumor is possibly on HBO Max).

you don't lose anything when you convert from a regular HBO subscription to HBO Max do you?

I currently manage my HBO sub through Prime Video. Looking to migrate to HBOMax
