Didn't Tobias say he followed Hannibal to an old warehouse and watched him kill someone when he was at dinner. Then Hannibal tipped Will off about Tobias, correct? So I believe Hannibal wanted Will to kill Tobias, because he certainly didn't need him spilling the beans and knew Tobias wouldn't go down without a fight.
I may have my timeline screwed up, I didn't watch it until after midnight last night while I waited for my Xanax to kick it and fall asleep.
Oh, and I was pissed when I saw the episode was only 45 mins on my DVR, I thought the dvr stopped recording early.

i didn't have a chance to watch this episode until today...i thought it was excellent, as always...i really hope nbc figures out what they have here, but there are rumors that amazon and possibly others are waiting to take advantage of their mistake if they pass on it.
btw, a little trivia...mads mikkelsen and hugh dancy have worked together before...they were both in "king arthur" (2004), playing tristan and galahad, respectively...i remembered that finally, last week.
