The producers said the very last scene will be Bruce putting on the cape.
That's awesome. I wonder if they will bring any other costumed heroes into the show before he does that.

Just got all caught up.
Wow. The last three episodes have been phenomenal.
Oh Babs. You crazy broad. I have no idea how they're going to get around to her being "good" again and I'll be honest, I don't know if I want her to be.
And I'm super giddy over the Penguin/Nygma pairing.

I thought Barbara was going to be Harley Quinn in this adaptation?

I haven't heard/read anything definitive. There was an interesting "Easter Egg" in the pilot that someone brought up though:
No idea where the show goes with her but I thought that was pretty cool.

Did you see the giant clock window on one wall of Barbara Kean's studio apartment? It was only on the screen for a few seconds, but it was hard to miss.
DC Comics fans know that the future daughter of Jim Gordon and Barbara (Kean) Gordon will also be named Barbara Gordon, and will grow up to become Batgirl. After she's crippled by the Joker in The Killing Joke comic, the younger Barbara takes on the persona of Oracle, a master hacker who uses her skills to aid superheroes the world over. Oracle operates out of the penthouse of a Gotham high-rise -- specifically, in the building's clock tower.
No idea where the show goes with her but I thought that was pretty cool.

That is cool and this is the first I've noticed it. Good catch

I had no faith that the envelope actually contained true information
The fact that he threw it in the fire leads me to believe it was going to reveal his plan to Bruce in what you gonna do about it kinda way. Didn't he want to humiliate him before killing him? Or maybe it was him that killed or had his parents killed. Bruce is just a dumb kid right now without street smarts, but Alfred should have figured something was fishy if the mayor would only reveal his parents killer for a deal.

It wouldn't have all surprised me if it just contained useless information with the intention of knocking Bruce off right then and there after transferring Wayne Enterprises to him. Then he threw it in the fire because he knew if it was useless info found by the cops it'd be an extortion charge he couldn't get out of.

That whole story just wasn't believable to me. As a minor, any such contracts with Bruce are null and void. I'm glad they didn't go that route because it would have been difficult for me to suspend by disbelief on that one.

I just figured he's the Mayor and he already has the city under Marshall Law, so he probably had a plan to circumvent the minor deal. I'm guessing it had to do with Alfred, his guardian, being present at the signing.

Is there plans for a season 3? Or is this the last season?

There will be a third season.

Really hoping she gets put into Arkham and they eventually twist her story into HQ.
I hope they don't end with him putting on the cape. That will bring up angry feelings on the way Smallville ended.

I finally caught up (started season 1 a week or 2 ago) and have seen what a dramatic improvement this season is so far. Season 1 had some good moments but plenty of very low lows, especially towards the end. A few thoughts:
- I can't believe how disappointed I was that Jerome was killed. He was an excellent joker. Even though I knew Bruce wouldn't be killed, the scene of Bruce being sliced in half was incredibly tense.
- I don't think Jerome was killed. Firefly's fate was our clue to what happened.
- fish is gone, thank goodness
- they finally figured out what to do with Barbara, and I can't believe how well it works for now.
- thankfully they're ignoring the horrible season finale portrayal of Selina.
- did I mention Fish is gone?
- I wasn't sold on E Nygma last season, but he's becoming an excellent version of the Riddler
- basically nearly every bad aspect of season 1 was corrected, improved, killed off, or ignored completely. Talk about half time adjustments!
- I still wish for a growing/training montage leading to Bruce putting on the mask and starting to clean up Gotham. Of course it won't happen. Jim Gordon is great but he's no batman.

What about a 10-15 year flash forward, such as season 5 of Fringe?

Eh, I think Jerome is very much dead (I mean he was about as dead as dead could be on that stage with that frozen smile).
I think the scene with Firefly is a precursor to her becoming a super-villain with "powers" (they mention her suit attached itself to her body during the burn making her "fireproof"). And the experimentation that's been going on to develop other villains with out or the ordinary powers. It really opens up who we can see on the villain side of things in a "realistic" (yes I'm using that loosely) portrayal of Gotham.

That could work. Basically they've done such a great job of establishing this version of Gotham that it will be a huge disappointment to never see what Batman would do in it.
Oh, and Michelle Gomez is coming soon to Gotham

Bump for tonight's show.
If Glenn can survive hundreds of zombies standing on top of him they could revive that actor as the Joker. That guy was actually a good actor for Joker imo. Either way, lots of Jokers out there now.

I couldn't find tonight's trailer on YouTube Gotham.
You would think they would make this easy to find.
