Just kidding, they where actually complimentary of each other. Cause I mean "Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2" is totally a slap in the face directed at DC if I actually believed stupid shite this board makes up in their head.

I jokingly said something to that extent after rewatching GOTG2 recently.

I have no doubt that these guys are all pretty good friends, and would probably work together if given the right gig.

My biggest point about GOTG2 is that it is the exact opposite of Snyder's take on the DCEU, stylistically.
GOTG2 is overwhelming in vivid colors, and full of one-liners and humor. DC (Superman) is gray and grim throughout.
And yet, I think GOTG2 does a better job conveying the emotional pains the characters have. I understand Peter, Yondu, Rocket and Drax, and even Nebula. Superman, I just don't get why he'd feel anything but irritated. And Batman is just plain paranoid and flaky.

I thought the bleakness and lack of humor was supposed to express the DC heroes' pain, it just didn't do that for me.

added- it's just a better approach by Marvel.
"my character has sadness in his heart"-
The DC films are almost like Goth kids, after awhile you want to slap them and say "get over it".
GOTG2 took a different approach, almost a Robin Williams take- wild, silly and zany, and every so often you get a look at a deeper emotion. It hits home more like that, at least to me.

Johns and Feige were assistants to Richard and Lauren Shuler Donner at the same time. They've been friends and coworkers for decades.
Their first trip to Comic Con.

Scoob = this board?

That's a bit of a stretch.

Plus, I think his point was different than your quote.

It was different, and I'm actually glad Scoob ended up posting in this thread. But I also think some people missed the point of this thread: we as humans crave watching conflict, it's why so many DC vs marvel threads end up fairly big on here. But at the end of the day, the whole Marvel vs DC thing is more of a fan thing than a corporate thing, most of them are good friends hoping the other succeeds.

This does bring me to a side note though, one I have said before. Why the frick did Warner Bros bring it Snyder in the first place?!? It's so extremely dumb, he's not a comic book fan, he's not a part of this group in any way. WHY?!?!?!

Lastly: this Twitter exchange is why I'm optimistic about DC now, Johns is a great guy, with a great vision, and I feel like I can be optimistic about DCEU instead of pessimistic like I was before WW
