HBO: I feel a little empty inside; I just feel like this could have been fleshed out.
D&D: There's no time; only three episodes left.

I don't understand why they felt the need for a shortened season and stopping at only 8 seasons? Were they not making enough money?

I suppose only D&D can answer that.
The writing is sloppy though and they play so fast and loose with their characters - it feels like the writers just didn’t care anymore.
Maybe they were burned out. Maybe they just didn’t know how to do it justice. Maybe there were contractual obligations with Disney that pushed them to finish early.

I just wish they would have mentioned Jamie and Cersi were killed by falling bricks because they were about 15 feet left of where they would have been safe.

I didn't have the same problems with this season that others have had, but goddamn...that was hilarious.

They're making the next Star Wars trilogy. They had been working on Game of Thrones since 2006. I'm sure they were just over it.
