It would be kind of cheap for the usual suspects to be at a council meeting next episode and have Varys or Tywin say "Oh, by the way, a raven came by that said that Balon is dead."
Wasn't Balon Greyjoy one of the "usurpers" Stannins named while burning the leeches? If so Stannis willl probably be in the scene where it's discovered that Balon is dead (along with "previously on" at the beginning showing him burning the leech). That is assuming that Stannis has raven contact with the rest of the kingdom at the time.

Without going back and looking I'm pretty sure Styr is still alive in the books right, but Jon hammered his arse last night?
siap
and Sam was pretty legit last night too

Styr dies in the books during the battle at the Wall. His son, Sigorn, is the one who is still alive and who Jon arranged Alys Karstark to marry.

Damn that's right. I've been thinking Styr was Sigorn the whole time in the show cause I guess he looks younger than I thought the dad would.
Have they showed Sigorn yet?

They made it so painfully obvious in the show that maybe those leaches were doing something. I don't think they wanted to ruin the surprise of Joff or Rob getting axed.
I really don't care if they wait till next season or not, Kingsmoot was a boring read anyway. frick the Iron Islands i wish Ned killed those poor port trash when he had the chance.

Not technically but they have Thenn Warg guy. IMO he's going to take Sigorn's place and marry Alys.

Great News:
According to the Littlefinger FB page, the S4E10 Finale episode will be approximately 66 minutes long, making it the longest episode of the entire series yet.

how long was the shortest episode?

Actually, S4E9 "The Watchers on the Wall" has the shortest running time--50 minutes.
The next 2 shortest episodes are S2E4 "Garden of Bones" & S4E6 "Laws of Gods and Men", tied at 51 minutes.

Just finished watching this episode. Lots of liberties taken in contrast with the books but loved that they dedicated the entire episode to the defense of the Wall. Pretty damned epic if you ask me.

Arguable one of the best battles I've ever seen in film or television. Same with Blackwater.
