It was a short scene, but very close on dialogue to the book. I too, wish they'd have spent another 2 minutes with them though. What we saw was good, just want more (like you).
Sam the Slayer scene was good. Thought we'd meet Coldhands.
Tyrion wedding/Joff/Cersei scenes were excellent as usual. So much hatred going around.

that episode was incredible. such a good funny episode leading up to the epicness in 2 weeks. the wedding was great, my only complaint was that sansa announced she was 14!!!! come on I know we are in Game of Thronsia but that was a perfect out for the writers on the child porn they are portraying!!!

They showed a brief one, mostly with Robb and Catelyn talking about how to take it to the Lannisters. Then just said the next episode would be in two weeks.

Yeah, they didn't give much at all away. The only thing they showed was Bran warging and Jon Snow. Definitely tried to not spoil anything.

I think it's his cheekbones that are throwing me off.

I thought the same thing. I'm pretty sure Martin himself regrets having most of the characters too young so this would've been a good opportunity to get away from that.

Really liked this episode. The. Tyrion/Joffrey. Stuff was spot on. And you just know how that's gonna come back up after the purple wedding.
Methinks Cersei just sealed Joffrey's fate with the Tyrells (if it wasn't already in the works).
Sam the slayer was great. Nice takeout on the episode summary/preview making us think we'd be seeing
It's a little hard getting too much into the Danny storyline knowing how it is haring to the long dragged out stuff ahead. But taken ion it's own it wasn't bad. Norah or Grey Worm or Barristan would have probably killed that guy for talking to. Danny like that though.

Sorry, but why would you expect this from the first half of ASOS? I think many people are getting unreasonable expectations based on faulty recollections of timelines. Arya gets taken by the Hound less than 100 pages before the Red Wedding in the book, almost all of their travels and cool scenes take place after the RW.

That's straight from the books though. Outside of Plumm being left out altogether and the sellswords being condensed into one band I thought that scene was very well done. I'm digging the Dany parts this season, they are very well done and remind me of how much I liked her in ACOK and ASOS before the clusterfrick of Mereen came into the picture.
